The yarn mill
To make our socks, we use 100% Egyptian Organic Cotton spun in Northern Italy by a heritage yarn mill which has been working with this type of fiber since 1958. The company works directly with Egyptian farmers to source the best possible cotton, which is hand-picked, then processed and tested with cutting-edge techniques. Global Organic Textile certified, Better Cotton initiative BCI-certificate, OEKO-TEX certified plus more sustainable solutions for people, planet and our natural resources.
The Factories. The Makers.
Our manufacturing is based in USA and in Italy.
Choosing these specific raw materials and heritage factories allow consistency in quality control, heritage craftsmanship and low Eco impact for people, environment and our raw material resources.

Wax
We use 100% soy wax. The soy wax we use is produced from American-grown soybeans (a renewable resource). We do not use paraffin wax. Studies have shown that paraffin wax candles emit toxic fumes when burning, while soy wax is non-toxic.
Fragrance Oils
We collaborate with multiple luxury fragrance houses based in the United States to create our unique scents. Our fragrance oils are derived from both natural and high quality synthetic ingredients. We source only phthalate-free fragrance oils, which means they are non-toxic to burn. Research has shown that phthalates may be harmful to one's health and may cause birth defects.
While our candles incorporate synthetic fragrance blends, they remain non-toxic.
Each scent has a scent card detailing top, middle and bottom notes.
Wicks
We use only cotton core wicks which are sustainable - Other wicks on the market include metal core wicks which use tin, aluminum, or lead - non-renewable resources. However, lead core wicks were banned in the United States in 2003. There are also wicks available that are primed with petroleum, which we do not use for the reasons listed above about paraffin wax.
Vessels + Boxes
We work with glass and tin vessels. All vessels can be reused and repurposed! The glass vessels can be recycled once cleaned.
All boxes are made of paper and can be recycled. We regularly recycle incoming packages plastics and filler. If you see plastic inside out packaging often we will reuse plastic we receive from packages in our packaging shipped to you.
Candle Care-To Prevent fire
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Always trim wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting (we suggest using a wick trimmer). The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling. Follow the 2 foot rule - don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/4" inch of wax remains in the container. Soy wax candles expire after one year because we do not use any preservatives. Do not expose candles to extreme temperature changes.
